Beyond the ordinary

TLDR- Hire Hannah. You absolutely won’t regret it. 

We worked with Hannah for our second pregnancy. We didn’t have a doula with our first, and to say we were absolutely clueless about so many things would be an understatement. 

Hannah provided us with so many educational materials and hands-on demonstrations. Whenever I asked her questions, she would come prepared with supplemental materials for our next appt. 

I ended up having a pretty complicated pregnancy and birth. Hannah was so supportive every step of the way and handled multiple pivots in our care management with absolute grace. 

On the day of my daughter’s birth, I hemorrhaged, and my daughter was in the NICU. I genuinely cannot imagine how my husband and I would have navigated that entire day without her. She hand-fed me when I could barely move my arms. She asked the nurses questions that I would never have thought to ask as I was recovering. She advocated for me to attempt to breastfeed in the NICU. She stayed there with us until late at night when my husband and I were in a comfortable space. After birth, she continuously checked in on me, my husband, and the baby. 

She handled our entire pregnancy with the care and concern of someone who has known us our entire lives, and I will forever be grateful for that. Her positive energy combined with her knowledgeable and firm engagement with care providers is exactly what you want by your side when giving birth. 

If I were to have another baby, she would be my very first call, and she should be yours too.
